Fawn Mckay
Fawn MCK Brodie was born on September 15th, 1915 at Ogden Utah. Fawn MCKAY, who was raised in the Mormon Church's First Family utilized her writing talent as well as research abilities to create the fascinating psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945 with the title: No Man knows My History, she used both. This title is derived from a funeral sermon delivered by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844. He shocked his listeners by declaring"You don't even know me." and you've never known my heart. No one knows my story. Truth is that I'm not sure. Fawn an older woman, aged 29 wrote: "Since that moment of honesty at least three scores writers have risen to the challenge." A lot of people have detested him while others have deified. A few have even made the diagnosis. The documents are missing, it's that they're so inconsistent. It's not an easy job to find these records and separate first-hand stories from the third-hand versions and then combining Mormon narratives with non-Mormon ones into a coherent mosaic. It is both fascinating and educational. It's a task which Fawn Brodie put her professional energy into. Her research and writings brought her fame around the world: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil's Drive (1959) The Southern Scourge. Thomas Jefferson. The Intimate Histories (1974), and Richard Nixon.
